Ultimate Blog Hop!

Hello one and all! If this is your first time visiting the ole' Jonesie then please let me explain a little. I write on a variety of topics. (basically whatever may pop into my head or even whatever rant I have for the day.) Some things are a little out there, I admit. But honestly, I have spent so much of my life worrying about what others think that when I finally released myself from the "rules and roles of society" I really began to find myself. So, my request is that you read more than just one post before you decide. I promise somewhere along the way I am sure you will say what so many others have said at one time or another: Jonesie, you simply say what others only think in their heads!

And the fun begins.....

Here it is 6:45am.  Yes, you read that correctly A.M.!  Those that knew me 20 years ago would seriously think this is some sort of hoax but I assure them that yes I am awake or at least semi-awake this morning.  Why would one ask is the queen of anti-mornings awake at such an ungodly hour?  Well, today is Monday, Oct. 25th and that means it is the beginning of what I have affectionately nicknamed Hell Week.

To those unsuspecting individuals who have the pleasure of NOT living in the greater metropolis of San Antonio I am envious. You will miss out on the hectic week of final preparations for our annual school carnival.

This is the week that tickets must be sold, signs painted, decorations hung, food purchased, confirm with the DJ and inflatables company as well as ensure all volunteers are organized.  Along in there somewhere will be at least a few moments of sheer frustration and even a meltdown or two is actually expected but all in all at the end of the week the general population remains unsuspecting of all the hard work and time put into the mere 3 hours of fun that we put on each and every year.

Unless of course they come to my house on Saturday and find me looking something like this:
